How are we structured?
Who is Les Clefs d'Or Austria?

Austrian Hotel Porter Association
"The Golden Keys"
The Austrian Hotel Concierge Association, also known as "The Golden Keys," has been part of the International Association "Les Clefs d'Or" since 1954 - officially registered as the Union Internationale des Concierge d'Hôtels (UICH).
The Austrian Association is headquartered in Vienna and currently has 60 active members in 12 cities. Among its members are four colleagues from Slovenia, whose nation does not yet have its own association and who will be represented internationally by the Austrian President until an independent association is established.
President, Florian Muigg
At the international level, the Austrian Hotel Porter Association is represented by its elected president. The current president, Florian Muigg, was re-elected during the 2025 Annual General Meeting and has held another important international position since 2023:
Florian Muigg is also Zone Director for Central Europe and thus the contact person for the associations from Austria, Germany, Hungary, Romania, Russia, Poland and the Czech Republic.

Vice President, Rainer Gruber
As Vice President of the Austrian Hotel Concierge Association, Rainer Gruber significantly supports the work of the Executive Board and contributes his many years of experience in the luxury hotel industry. He works at the renowned Ritz-Carlton, Vienna, and is deeply committed to advancing the concierge profession. As a former Young Concierge Award nominee, he is particularly passionate about promoting new talent and our collaborations with tourism schools.
District Governor Vienna, Victor Rodriguez
Victor Rodriguez brings fresh energy and extensive experience to the board of the Austrian Hotel Concierge Association. In his role as District Governor for Vienna, he serves as the regional contact for members and actively promotes professional exchange. He also serves as an official representative and examiner for the Concierge Supplementary Certificate at the Semmering Tourism School, thus setting a strong example for promoting young talent and quality standards in the profession.

Asst. District Gov. Vienna, Franz Brandhuber
Franz Brandhuber is Assistant District Governor for Vienna and is one of the association's most dedicated young talents. As concierge at the Rosewood Vienna, he not only brings a high level of service orientation but also a lively, energetic personality that enriches the team and brings a breath of fresh air to the association's work. In his role as an examiner at the Semmering Tourism School, he actively contributes to quality assurance and the promotion of young talent.

As District Governor for Salzburg, Thomas Klingsbigl is a fixture in the Austrian Hotel Porters Association. A member of Les Clefs d'Or since 1992, he brings decades of experience, comprehensive expertise, and deep regional ties. As a concierge at the venerable Hotel Goldener Hirsch in Salzburg, he lives the values of our profession every day. Promoting young talent is particularly important to him: He has been teaching at the Klessheim Tourism School for years and is delighted about the new, official partnership with the school. He has already been awarded the Salzburg State Medal of Honor for his services to tourism.
District Governor Mitte, Thomas Klingsbigl

Asst. District Gov. Mitte, Marion Hausberger
As a long-standing member of the association and newly appointed treasurer, Helmut Mühringer not only balances numbers but also brings people together. As concierge at the Falkensteiner Schlosshotel Velden am Wörthersee, he ensures excellent service – but also sets the right tone within the association: As the musical backbone, he brings not only organizational talent to events, but also rhythm and atmosphere. At the 8th National Congress in Velden, he played a leading role in the planning, demonstrating his versatility and strong commitment to the community.

Secretary, Friedhelm Seitl
Friedhelm Seitl has been an indispensable member of the Austrian Hotel Porters Association since 2008. As secretary, he not only ensures that protocols and procedures are consistently adhered to, but also brings a steady, structured hand to the association's work. As the liaison to the international umbrella organization in Paris, he maintains contact and ensures that all formalities are observed. He works as a night porter at Cool Mama Salzburg – a true haven of peace, both at night and within the association.
Secretary, Bastian Platten
As secretary of the Austrian Hotel Porters' Association, Bastian Platten is primarily responsible for the association's online presence and ensures that information remains up-to-date, visible, and well-presented. With his international professional experience and great enthusiasm for global exchange, he particularly values the friendships that develop through Les Clefs d'Or. In his role, he compiles reports and articles from the archive, thus connecting past and present digitally – with an eye for detail and a flair for communication.

Strat. Partnership, Jean David Wiessmann
